TIMBOON Demons enjoyed a 66-point win over Kolora Noorat in front of a home crowd last weekend.

With just four rounds remaining of the home and away season, the Demons notched up win number five on Saturday.

Despite sitting eighth on the Warrnambool District League ladder, only percentage currently separates them from the fifth placed Dennington.

The Demons took control of the match from the first bounce, outscoring the visitors in every quarter.

By the half-time break the Demons had a commanding 26 point lead which was extended to 47 points by three quarter-time.

To their credit the Demons contained the visitors to just four majors for the day while booting home 13 goals.

Final scores were Timboon 13.18.96 to Kolora Noorat 4.6.30.

Martin Angus kicked four goals for the side while Eben White added three, Rhys Ziegelaar two and one each from Ned Deppeler, Marcus Hickey, Oliver Stansfield and Mitchell Wallace.

Best players included Ziegelaar, White, Ben Newey, Wallace, Deppeler and Stansfield.

Timboon’s reserves remain on the bottom after a narrow two point loss on the weekend, going down 5.5.35 to 5.7.37.

Best players were William Benallack, Anthony Glennen, Bayley Kelly, Ben Matthews, Killian O’Dwyer and Robert Matthews.

Drew Kordupel kicked two goals while William Benallack, Luke Gledhill and Jake Robbins kicked one apiece.

Timboon’s netballers are looking strong in the lead up to finals, with A grade sitting sixth but only percentage behind the fifth-placed Dennington; A reserve in seventh and B grade in fifth.

In the junior grades, both the 17 and under and 15 and under teams are currently fourth and the 13 and unders are on top of the ladder.

Results from last weekend:

A grade – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 50-41.

A reserve – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 33-27.

B grade – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 29-22.

17 and under – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 45-41.

15 and under – Timboon defeated Kolora Noorat 33-19.

13 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Timboon 22-17.
