Simpson Lions Club Notes
WHAT a strange and wild month we’ve had with our weather. It’s too dry and then it’s so wet.
On top of that we get the wind - raging storms that shook houses and uprooted trees.
Nine of our members had a bit of a job ahead of them clearing the paths around the dams, cutting fallen limbs that blocked the walkways and raking away sticks and debris.
We haven’t finished with the cleaning up yet, but we’ve made a great start. We finished off with some lunch and a cuppa.
During our recent meeting, we invited Kevin Johnson, general manager of Midway Plantations to talk about what the future of forestry will look like and discussed how much Simpson and surrounding areas are becoming diverse in their business practices.
