Spring ends drier than average
THE region saw drier-than-average conditions for November.
Camperdown recorded 36.3mm of rainfall in November this year, which is higher than last year’s total of 34mm.
The figure is lower than the long-term monthly average of 55.2mm.
November 26 saw Camperdown’s highest daily rainfall for the month, with 12mm recorded within a 24-hour period.
To date, Camperdown has recorded a total of 499.7mm this year.
Meanwhile, Derrinallum recorded 31.6mm of rainfall last month.
The figure falls below last November’s total of 45.8mm, as well as the long-term monthly average of 55.4mm.
The highest daily rainfall for Derrinallum was November 27, where 13mm hit the ground.
Derrinallum’s total rainfall for 2024 currently sits at 430.6mm.
Lismore recorded 45.2mm of rainfall for the month of November.
The figure is higher than November 2023’s monthly total of 39.6mm.
However, the figure falls short of the long-term monthly average of 54.6mm.
The highest daily rainfall for Lismore was recorded on November 27, where 21.8mm hit the ground in 24 hours.
Currently, Lismore has recorded 394.1mm of rainfall for 2024.
